Extraordinary Success of G-20 Summit

The extraordinary success of the G-20 Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi, under India’s Presidency, has not only put the country on a high global pedestal but also delivered several tangible outcomes.

The New Delhi Leaders’ Summit declaration called for accelerating and fully implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Agenda outlines a plan of action for eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions by diligently following and achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets announced as part of the Agenda. Towards this end, the declaration committed to enhancing global food security and nutrition for all by encouraging efforts to strengthen research cooperation on climate-resilient and nutritious grains such as millets, quinoa, sorghum, and other traditional crops including rice, wheat and maize.
