Somdatta Karak
Ms Rachel Thomas became India’s first civilian skydiver in 1979. She put India on the global map of aero sports in skydiving. In 2005, she was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India. In 2024, she was awarded the FAI Gold Medal by the Federation of Aeronautical International, the apex body of aerosports globally. She is a TEDx speaker and the author of the book — Limitless, her autobiography.
