The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) is a constituent scientific institution of the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Govt of India. It carries research in oceanography and marine services. INCOIS has recently come up with its revolutionary product, an innovative app named “Samudra”. This app connects advanced ocean sciences with everyday human needs and thus can be used by a wide spectrum of users, right from fishermen to maritime experts and scientists. 

Since its inception, INCOIS has been providing ocean information services and disaster warnings, along with sustainable marine resource management.
