As women, we go through stages of life that are based on our reproductive cycles, beginning with menstruation and continuing through menopause. Menopause is a unique experience for each woman. Some may sail through this major milestone change with ease, while others may face difficulties. The subject of menopause was not talked about in the past; a stigma was attached to it. But today, every woman is aware and is empowered to navigate this phase of their life with conviction and intelligibility.
Menopause is not a disease, and yet it causes signs and symptoms, which differ individually. Interestingly, menopause hits at a time when life is changing; ageing parents, children leaving home, creating an empty nest and more responsibilities at work and home.
