Planet Earth is estimated to be 4.5 billion years old. Looking at Stromatolites we can witness how the earth looked like way before the creation of any lifeform such as humans, animals, plants or any other species.

Photosynthesis is the only major source of free oxygen gas present in the Earth's atmosphere. Cyanobacteria are microscopic photosynthesising organisms famous for their ability to obtain energy via photosynthesis, thus mainly responsible for creating modifications across the globe since they produce oxygen as a by-product.
